Private labeling is the process where resellers rebrand the product of a manufacturer by adding their name, logo and packaging. This kind of reselling is widespread in the technology sector where a computer maker may offer their own hardware and third-party software and accessories.

For instance, Home Depot might charge more than Walmart for grills for barbecues because it has a physical store and can manage logistics, including storage and distribution.
