The agricultural company Salaš D.O.O. is located in the eastern part of Serbia, the area between Zaječar and Negotin, at the foot of the Deli Jovan mountain. Salaš D.o.o. was founded in 1954, with a potential of several dozen hectares. Today it is the leading agricultural organization in the Timok Region. Thanks to the development policy since its establishment. Salaš D.O.O. today cultivates 5,111 hectares, of which 4,500 are owned and the rest through a state concession. Agricultural production consists mostly of grain production, fruit growing and livestock breeding. It also owns 3 artificial lakes with two concrete dams and one earthen one. We have a lake with an area of ​​150,000 m2 and a depth of 12 meters. The lakes are rich in fish (carp, perch, catfish, pike) and supply water to an irrigation system consisting of 25 km of pipes for irrigating 1,000 hectares of arable land. The agricultural company Salaš D.O.O. has warehouses for storing goods and covering equipment of 9,500 m2. A silo for storing 30,000 tons of grain and a dryer as well as a feed factory with a production capacity of 20 t/h of feed. Barns for 4,000 calves for fattening, barns for breeding 4,000 sheep and barns for fattening a million chickens per year. It enjoys a privileged geographical position because it is located in the center of about 200,000 hectares of mostly uncultivated or partially cultivated by small individual agricultural producers who are without technical support to adapt to the needs of international markets. Salaš D.O.O. could become the main line of agro-industrial development of significant dimensions.
